Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed in a rapidly changing and interconnected world.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students be leaders of their own learning, stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities include:
- bright and comfortable learning hubs
- a well-stocked library for reading and research
- science learning space
- multipurpose room for creative and performing arts
- two sports fields for fitness and fun
- student managed vegetable garden
- extensive grounds for free play
Sports fields and play areas
Our school features extensive outdoor areas designed to provide ample space for all students to engage in play and physical activity during break times. These diverse outdoor environments also enhance opportunities for outdoor education learning opportunities as well as supporting fitness and sports instruction.
Learning Spaces
Our hubs have flexible seating arrangements that encourage collaboration and creativity. Proper lighting, ventilation and ergonomic furniture enhance focus and comfort. Smart boards, tablets and internet access bring global knowledge to the fingertips of learners, making lessons more engaging and interactive. Our learning hubs are more than just a physical space; they are pivotal for active participation, creativity, social interaction and critical thinking.
Smalls Road Public School has been designed to support the shift to more student-centric approaches to teaching and learning. These innovative hubs;
- are mobile, flexible, varied and connected
- provide students with choice in where and how they learn
- can be adapted to accommodate learning modes and technology
- provide optimum learning conditions such as temperature, light and acoustics
- support opportunities for students to learn independently, in small and large groups
- support collaborative learning and teaching for students and teachers.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools, these resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, our students and staff use the Microsoft Office 365 platform, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state. Some of our resources include:

You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
